October 2012

Mohammad Humayaun checks over the site to see how things are running. After a long period of monsoon rain many repairs need doing. One third of the tin roof has to be renewed following a hurricane storm. Two school building walls have to be replaced.

June 2012

The aid association "Schulprojekt Rangunia e.V." is founded. Final burocratic hurdles should be overcome in July. All donations can be set off against tax.

May 2012

The school is now officially recognised – an important milestone for the sustainability of our work! Our continuous establishment of contacts in Dhaka has been successful.

March 2012

We travel to Bangledesh since Nazir is dying. We wish to accompany him on his final journey and together with relatives mourn his passing at his burial ceremony. Life goes on at the school. Some of the children have made pictures and written small texts capturing what the school means to them.

February 2012

We visit our project in Rangunia, Chittagong and make contact with an employee of the GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation) in Dhaka. Perhaps there will be possibilities for future collaboration. After our return we work under continuous pressure to found our aid association, enabling our school to be supported from overseas more effectively. This means we would be able issue receipts for donations made. These can be submitted to the tax authority for tax relief purposes.
